Unseen Photos from Paris

Hello, lovely people of the internet!

Those of you who've been reading my blog for a while might remember that back in April, my mum and I took a trip to Paris and had an absolutely wonderful time and recently, I was going through my camera album on my phone and realised that there were still a few photos that I hadn't shared here nor on any other social media platform. So that's what I'm going to be doing today! If you want to see my collection of shots from Paris click here, trust me, there's a lot...

Odette Cafe in Paris

Odette: The most adorable cafe in Paris- it is situated right next to Notre Dame with seating both outside and a second story option that is very cosy. If you are in Paris, I definitely definitely think that you should visit Odette at 77 Rue Galande, 75005 Paris. It is perfect for a quiet spot to sit and relax since it is on a side street, away from the busy streets of Paris. Not to mention that the cafe is the perfect place to go for an Instagram photo or two!

Parisian Coffee Shop

We went up to Sacre Coeur in Paris and on the walk back to the tube, we found this hole in the wall pastry shop/cafe called Pain Pain (which means Bread Bread for anyone who is confused). Everything looked and smelled amazing so it was the perfect pick me up after a long walk!

Laduree pt. 2 - Through My iPhone

When we were in Paris, we went to Laduree so many times that this little series had to become two posts instead of one. We went for breakfast, a quick coffee and just before we left for Stockholm, we headed back to buy a box of macarons! Mmm!

Laduree - Through My Phone

So I've started with a new series on my blog since I have so many photos from Paris on my phone. Yes I know I've already shared a lot of photos but I can't help it- Paris was a dream city and I really want to go back already. I have already posted some photos from my camera from our first time at an actual Laduree shop but I had some extras on my phone since it felt a little weird wipping out my giant camera every time I wanted to take a photo of a macaron.. Another thing that made me really excited was that the Sex and the City final episode included a scene from this very Laduree shop (on the left side of the building in the photo above) and I am such a little weird fan girl that I had to take a photo...

Arc de Triomphe - Through My iPhone

Parisian Architecture

I have always loved architecture and old buildings so living in Stockholm, you get to see some gorgeous structures. But when I went to Paris, oh my lord.... Every single building was gorgeous- even the one's further outside the city were 10 times nicer than those in Södermalm and I realise that this may sound a little strange but yeah yeah the Parisian architecture just helped me to further fall in love with the city.

View from Sacre Coeur

Such a gorgeous view from Sacre Coeur. Although we didn't go up in the building since so many people, there was such a gorgeous view outside that it felt unnecessary.

Products from Paris

Parisian pharmacies are such a dream- stock piled with cute and well worth products that are actually very inexpensive! Before I went, I made a list of the products I wanted to purchase and voila! Bioderma cleanser, La Roche-Posay spot treatment, Caudalie beauty serum and Marvis jasmine toothpaste. I know it may sound silly to buy a toothpaste but it was a spontaneous purchase and I am very surprised by how it resembles the smell of jasmine ahah! I have already started using these products and if you're interested, I suggest you go to Sephora, they often have Caudalie products.

Final Breakfast at Laduree

Our last breakfast at Laduree before heading back to Stockholm. Toast and a gorgeous and absolutely Ispahan as well as (of course) coffee! All in all we visited Laduree in Paris about four or five times in only four days... Yes mum and I are obsessed ahahah! xx

Best Coffee - Sebastien Gaudard

The amazing coffee and pastry at the absolutely fantastic Sebastien Gaudard in Paris. The location was gorgeous with cute blue chairs for outside service, pretty tiled floors and a fully stocked pastry display mmmm... It was one of my favourite coffee shops in the whole of my whole trip- gorgeous pastries and the BEST coffee I had had in a long time! If you are ever in Paris, you have to go here; if just for the coffee.

Macarons From Paris

The very last thing that mum and I did before we left for the airport was to buy macarons. We went to Laduree's Madeleine location and picked out a few: cherry blossom, salted caramel, rose petal, licorice, pistachio and Marie Antoinette tea mmmm! Let me just say that these were so delicious and I only have one left! If you were curious to try a famous Laduree macaron, we have a location here in Stockholm so you don't have to fly to Paris ahaha.

Claude Monet's Bridge

After seeing Claude Monet's incredible garden, we went down to the famous bridge. Thankfully the wind didn't disturb the water since there was such a gorgeous reflection from the trees that were just blossoming around the bridge. I now really understand why Monet was so inlove with this view (pictured above) as I can't wait to recreate my photos in watercolour!

OOTD in Monet's Garden

Skirt - Cooperative (Urban Outifitters), Top - Factorie, Coat - H&M, Bag - Bikbok, Shoes - NIKE, Sunglasses - Lindex

My outfit for a day in the painter's garden. Although I had looked at the weather report, it was quite windy and very cloudy- lets just say it's lucky that we managed to snap some shots before the clouds rolled in!

French Cherry Blossoms

Gorgeous cherry blossoms in Claude Monet's garden- absolutely magical! xx

Monet's Garden pt.2

More photos from my trip to Claude Monet's garden!

Monet's Garden pt. 1

It was such a dream come true to see Claude Monet's (1840 - 1826) house and garden. He is my favourite artist of all time and an incredible artist within the Impressionist movement, especially his Water Lilly Pond. Like many Swedish kids of my age, I grew up with the magical book Linnea i Målarens Trädgård which had such gorgeous illustrations depicting his garden. This book was a big part of why I wanted to visit his garden and I was not dissapointed by the real thing. The tulips, daffodils and cherry blossoms had all started blooming so that it was like a sea of colour intertwined with birds chirping and tourists's camera's clicking. If you ever have the chance to visit Monet's garden- I highly recommend you do so!

Famous Cafe Angelina

The famous Angelina cafe in Paris where the pastries are delicious and the lattes are served in a jug (which is such a good idea). And yes this was my breakfast.. For the whole four days we were there, breakfast consisted of croissants, macarons and coffee- so stereotypically French that I feel very touristy ahahah!

Breakfast at Laduree

Amazing breakfast at Laduree in Madeleine, Paris France. If you ever have the option to eat breakfast there, I highly recommend the Petit Dejeuner Laduree. It is a combination of three croissants, a bread bun, jam, the cutest tube of butter, orange or grapefruit juice and tea or coffee. Yes I know it sounds amazing!

OOTD at the Eiffel Tower

Jacket - Bershka, Shirt - Stradivrius, Jeans Urban Outfitters, Shoes - Forever 21, Backpack - Bikbok

Today was a magical day! Full of pastries, shopping and sight seeing. I was so happy I managed to take outfit photos in front of the Eiffel Tower between the mass of people and the huge rainfall that was going to happen about 20 minutes after we left.  The shirt, bomber jacket and ballet slippers I'm wearing I'd bought the day before ahaha! I am in love with all three pieces and will have a haul post coming soon with everything that I bought so stay tuned.

Coffee at Laduree

Oh my god Laduree lives up to its reputation. I absolutely loved their food, coffee and interior aesthetic! We ordered a Ispahan (a large macaron with raspberries) as well as a large salted caramel macaron and coffees.

The Triumphal Arch

Hello people of the internet!

I am baaack! I've been busy for the past week and have finally had a moment to sift through my photos from Paris and start editing them. So here we go, prepare for many many photos from Paris my friends!

The first thing that we did as soon as we landed was to go down to Champs-Elysees to Arc de Triomphe and took some photos. We also went up to the top and I managed to get some great shots (I couldn't include all of them here) of the view. Paris was magical and I wish I captured some of its magic on camera.
